ITP Telecoms
Apprenticeships –
created by the industry
for the industry

ITP Apprenticeships offer a cost-effective way for all employers to take on apprentices, combining a robust, bespoke training package with full support throughout.  From your initial inquiry through to recruitment and for the duration of the apprenticeship, we will be on hand to help.

Since the launch of our level 3 apprenticeship in March 2013, we have created more than 70 jobs in the telecoms industry.  These have ranged from engineers to technical helpdesk advisors, not only offering young people a chance to start their careers, but also offering telecoms businesses a headache-free way to find the fresh new talent they need.

Without new talent, the telecoms industry will struggle – and apprentices are the best solution to that problem

We’re not the only ones that think that – a recent survey of 500 firms showed that:

  • 77% of employers believe apprenticeships make them more competitive
  • 76% of those employers who employ apprentices agree they make the workplace more productive
  • 81% of consumers favour using a company which takes on apprentices

Over the following pages, you will be able to read all about our apprenticeship scheme and how we can help you.

About ITP Telecoms Apprenticeships

The Institute of Telecoms Apprenticeships is part of the ITP – which has been training young people in the industry since its inception in 1906. From individuals to multi-national companies, we understand what makes telecoms tick.

We have been running our own successful Apprenticeship Scheme since 2013 and are proud to have provided a range of companies with over 70 telecoms apprentices during that time.

Case Study – George Keevill – Premier Choice Telecom

Having built a few computers myself and been using a variety of technologies and softwares since a young age, the role suited me greatly.

It wasn’t until I did further research into the industry, that I realised how reliant modern telephone equipment and services are to the internet and computers.
